Splitter for RSP1A
Splitter for RSP1A
I have my RSP1A connected to the IF on my Yaesu FT-2000. I want to try it tied in to the IN/OUT receive antenna ports.
I am trying to decide what to use as a splitter. I found the Diamond SS500 splitter on line but it doesn't seem to be available unless ordering from Ebay Japan or something. HRO has it in their list but doesn't stock it. Maybe a dumb idea, but why not simply use a coax T connector ? What are you using for a splitter on your radio with IN/OUT ports ?

Re: Splitter for RSP1A
Hello Bob,
It is very easy to build a resistive splitter. A few resistors and SMA-connectors. Or buy one for a few dollars from one of the chinese stores. You get a few dB loss but that doesnt care. I build a divider myself to distribute the signal of my active antenna to several receivers.

SDRplay (RSP1, RSP1A, RSP2pro) with:
RFsystems DX-10 (14kHz to 50MHz), resistive splitter 1/4, 1:16 transformer on Hi-Z of RSP2
ICOM Discone AH-8000 (10MHz to 2GHz)
12m above ground
