When will we see support for 14 bits in RSP2?
When will we see support for 14 bits in RSP2?
When will we see support for 14 bits in RSP2?
From what I can see both the RSP1A and RSP2 uses the same chip MSi3101 (MSi001+MSi2500) the MSi001 is the tuner and the MSi2500 is the digital interface and ADC. I have read the data sheet and the sampling resolution & stream format is user selectable:
1) 8 bit (504_S8) Max 12.096 MHz
2) 8 bit (504_S16) Max 12.096 MHz
3) 10+2 bit (384_S16) Max 9.216 MHz
4) 12 bit (336_S16) Max 8.064 MHz
5) 14 bit (252_S16) Max 6.048 MHz
So why is there no support in the SDRuno for the 14 bit mode in the RSP2?

Don't quote me, but I think that in order to be able to free-up the extra bits, a small hardware change was necessary.
