Basic Cat Control with RSP2 and SDRUno
Basic Cat Control with RSP2 and SDRUno
I'm trying to understand how to use CAT control with just the RSP2. All of the information I have found so far talks about adding a virtual serial port emulator for operation of the RSP and another rig at the same time but it's not clear how to get the RSP2 and SDRUno to work standalone as a CAT controlled receiver. Does the RSP have a com port assigned or do you have to install a serial port emulator to have a com port?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Basic Cat Control with RSP2 and SDRUno
Section 14 of the SDRuno User Manual explains CAT control and how SDRuno emulates a Kenwood TS-480 - you will need serial port splitter software (which you can find on the internet - I use VSPE) and then another application can control SDRuno via CAT and treat SDRuno as a radio receiver.
