Decoding Navtex

Post by Dec1963 » Thu Nov 15, 2018 10:26 pm

Hi,

anybody using the RSP1A to decode Navtex. I downloaded and installed the decoding software from Frisnit but it does not appear to be able to find the RSP1A, I just get cannot open soundcard etc, there's no apparent options to set.

Any clues or alternative softwares ?

It was SDR Console. I should probably try a virtual serial cable between the two packages I guess.

Yes, if your sound card doesn't have a Stereo Mix, aka 'What you hear' recording input that pipes speaker out to other software. You may want to check this out at 'How To Geek' -- Your sound card may already have the capability.

The procedure to access is slightly different in later editions of Windows. In Win 10: right click on speaker, select open sound settings, then select 'Sound Control Panel'
