Wide band spectrum analyzer / scanner
Wide band spectrum analyzer / scanner
I'm used to tune my RF filters with the help of SDRRTL scanner stand alone program (windows version), a generic RT820T USB dongle and a RF wide band noise generator, so i was wondering if exist, or is under development, an equivalent application for SDRplay.
The 12bit ADC sampling system would give a nice boost in term of dynamic range over a cheap RTL dongle, ie allowing to analyze 60dB band pass/ band stop filters with a decent amplitude margin.
Not the same as professional equip but sure much better than nothing.
I'm planning to buy a Rigol DSA815TG to cover this and other needings, but in the mean time i will be glad to use my new toy for this purpose.
I think that a such kind of custom program, developed excusively for SDRplay, could be the "killer application" that will boost sales a lot.

Re: Wide band spectrum analyzer / scanner
Hi all.
I also would like a wideband spectrum analyser/scanner.
The ADS-B solution is great so it is time to go a step forward.
The one for RTLsdr in this site http://eartoearoak.com/software/rtlsdr-scanner can be a good starting point.
Thanks a lot and hoe to see that piece of software ready.
Best regards.
ANgazu.
