Windows 10 Anniversary Update - Cannot Verify Digital Signature
Windows 10 Anniversary Update - Cannot Verify Digital Signature
Since updgrading to the latest version of Windows 10, my driver for the SDRPlay (Mirics FlexTV) has been showing up in device manager with an error:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
If I restart the computer in the mode where drivers are not required to be signed, it works fine, but it has become quite annoying having to do this every time.
Has anyone else experienced this, or have any thoughts?

N1ZZN, please see this. Please open a administrator command prompt and type winver. If your W10 is version 1607, then this may well be your problem. The driver author needs to release a new driver signed properly. Enjoy, John.

I had the same problem and found the work around was to disable secure boot.

Re: Windows 10 Anniversary Update - Cannot Verify Digital Signature
It's taken longer than we anticipated but we now have a Windows 10 build 1607 secure boot compatible driver.
It's in the SDRuno 1.03 released last night and either later today or early tomorrow we will be releasing an updated API with the new driver.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's patience whilst we sorted this out.
Best regards,
SDRplay Support

Re: Windows 10 Anniversary Update - Cannot Verify Digital Signature
I have just tested both SDRuno 1.02 and 1.03 in W10 version 1607 with SecureBoot enabled. Version 1.02 fails and 1.03 runs correctly. The Device Manager shows the The Mirics FlexiTV (MSi2500) as "This device is working properly." under 1.03. I am running W10 Pro x64 using Hyper-V with W10 Pro x64 v1607 on the VM. USB over Network Version 5.1.11, from FabulaTech is being used to allow the VM to connect to the SDRPlay plugged into my host. All good, thanks! Enjoy, John.
