Re: Connection to Yaesu FTDX3000
I have the same issue as KB8VFA - I have tried SDRUNO, HDSDR and a few others with the same results, I can control both mode and VFO via rig or SDR S/W, both track correctly however neither S-meter nor panadaptors align.
My configuration/hardware is:
HW:
FTDX-3000
RSP2
RG58 SMA MALE to RCA MALE Pigtail Jumper
Surface 3 (Surface has 1 USB and 1 micro-USB port)
USB2 A male to B male cable
10 port USB 3 USB hub (hub is powered)
Configuration:
Omnirig V1.6
FTDX3000 USB drivers installed on Surface (comm ports 3 & 4)
FTDX3000
-- USB out to USB hub
-- RX out to RSP2 antenna A via RG58 jumper
-- menu 75 to USb, menu 038 to 38400
RSP2
-- Antenna A to FTDX3K
-- USB B port to USB hub
Surface 3
-- USB out to USB hub
-- Omnirig set to port 4 and 38400 baud
Like I said VFOs and modes work correctly however S-meter and panadaptor do not - is there a configuration I missed? Menu setting? Additional software needed? Other?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Connection to Yaesu FTDX3000
I'm interested in purchasing the MFJ-1708SDR to connect my Yaesu FTDX3000 and SDRplay RSP2pro to the same antenna. However, I have a question. From what I've read, the MFJ-1708SDR uses the PTT signal from the transceiver to initiate the switching. On the Yaesu FTDX3000 side, where do I connect the cable for the PTT output signal, and what type of cable do I need? Are there any menu changes that I need to make to the transceiver? I apologize if these are silly questions, but I'm new to this.

I don't have a 3000, but I do have a 991. I'm pretty sure you'll not need any additional hardware for your 3000 (other than the SDRPlay and a cable). I use an antenna switch (DXE RTR-1A) my 991 because there's no IF or RF out like the 3000 has.N4PIT wrote:I'm interested in purchasing the MFJ-1708SDR to connect my Yaesu FTDX3000 and SDRplay RSP2pro to the same antenna.
