Sdruno, IC 7300, MFJ1708 help

Post by mikebrock » Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:04 pm

Having problems getting them working together. Completely lost now - is there a tutorial on this? Never actually seen the 7300 in synchronization with sdruno - is it possible? Much appreciated if someone can advise on this - many thanks.

Me too! Have FT 840 (got the FTDI CAT cable), MFJ 1708, Omnirig & SDRUNO. Just got everything today and I'm really struggling to get things off the ground. It may something to do with pairing com ports. Have you had any luck?

Are you guys using the "ORIG" section in the "RX Settings" of the RX Control, or the "cat" menu in that same box? People get confused with those two. Use the "ORIG" tab..(for Omnirig) NOT the "cat" tab. The other thing is to make sure "RSYNC1" is highlighted (mine turns orange). It's also in the "RX Control panel. Are you able to do anything? Any VFO control?

Anyhow...the "ORIG" and "CAT" tabs confused me at first.

thanks Phillip - have tried that to no avail. I have posted a vid of the settings of the various software in the hope that someone can spot where the issue is. https://youtu.be/JcTfRUl9SZ8

Thanks again - and thanks Mike too!

Have you tried it with that "Enable & Connect" unchecked? I'm using an FT-991 (it has a USB port and sound card built-in, so my mileage may vary) but mine is unchecked. My Omnirig looks the same as yours other than the Com settings ( I also run it faster at 38400). I use Com 4 (my Enhanced Com port) on Omnirig.

I'm just tossing that out there for you to try until the smart people show up. :-) Can you get it to work with, say, SDR Console?

I gave up in the end and now use sdr software with better rig control. You have to pay for this sdr software after a 30 day trail period though.
