RSP1A Android problem

Post by Alejofer » Fri Dec 08, 2017 5:52 pm

Hello.

2 days ago I received my new RSP1A and it has not been possible to make it work on Android with Sdr Touch

I have installed the SDRplay driver, but it does not recognize the device when it is inserted via OTG

I have done the test in 3 different devices and in the three the result is the same.

What I can be doing wrong?

The SDRplay driver that's on the play store right now doesn't support the RSP1A. We have a new driver that's in closed alpha test right now that supports RSP1, RSP2 and RSP1A. As soon as we can get it to open beta, we'll post on here and social media to let everyone know.

Best regards,

Hi SDRplay support,

I see that the question was asked about the status of the new driver. Could we all get an update please?

Thanks
Mike

Hi,

since more and more people operate a RSP1A, when are you going to release an Android driver for that device?

Thanks

Just got my RSP1A and a USB adapter so I could run it on my tablet. Saw this setup on YouTube and that was a big selling point for me. Tried everything to get this going and registered on this forum to ask what I did wrong. First post on the board is this one. I'm one of them waiting for new drivers on Android. On the PC this thing is great. Would be even greater to get it mobile without dragging along a PC :)

There is a closed alpha test of the RSP Android interface. If you would like to take part, please raise a ticket stating so, and include the email address that you use on the Android App Store.

I have had an RSP1A for quite a while, hoping to be able to use it with my Android 7.0 tablet during travel. Has anyone been successful doing this and, if so, please let me know the software/app used. Otherwise, I will purchase an RTL-SDR Blog V3 dongle for travel. It looks like there are many Android apps available for the dongle. Thank you!
