Shorting aerial OK?

Post by m0phe » Sat Oct 17, 2015 11:04 am

Is it ok to put a dead short across the aerial input to protect it from static and nearby HF transmissions when it's not in use?

Dear m0phe,
Applying a short to the antenna will not cause any problems with the RSP as there is no DC bias on the antenna port.

Sincerely
