I'm afraid I can't, HDSDR is not loading the plug-in after showing the error message.

I cannot get it going either. When I check the advanced page EXT io station configure under Database Status nothing shows. I am connected to Internet. Have rebooted and still no luck. How does one get the database to load?

I have the very same issue with HDSDR crashing now, but on windows xp system. Installing an earlier EXTIO works.

I also just updated to API 1.8.1 from 1.6.0 and EXTIO to 3.8.1 from 3.6.

HDSDR 2.7 now fails to launch HDSDR with :-

Application popup: SDRplay RSP Device Controller: HDSDR.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x7c911766" referenced memory at "0x000986f2". The memory could not be "read".

This was super stable on Windows XP SP3 before.

SD Console launches fine, I restarted the PC, uninstalled everything and re-installed no joy.
I've now reinstalled API 1.6.0and EXTIO 3.6 and all is back to normal.

I'm an IT Professional, so I've covered all the correct steps :)

Thanks ..
John

Are you getting a real crash (standard Windows crash window "Blah blah has stopped working") or the same/a similar exception error window from HDSDR like on my screenshot on the previous page? I take it you're using XP 32 bit?

Did you install the EiBi (or some other) shortwave frequency database in HDSDR at some point?

Thank you for the video. Saw what I was doing wrong. Much appreciated.

13dka,
i get the same HDSDR error/crash window as you posted on the first page. To my knowledge i haven't done anything with the eibi database.

This is a known issue on some machines which I'm working on.

For now, you can download this zip file: http://www.sdrplay.com/software/disable ... lookup.zip

make sure HDSDR is not running, extract the reg file out of the zip file, double click on the reg file

restart HDSDR - this disables the station lookup and returns 3.8.1 to 3.7 functionality.

We are looking into the issues causing the crash and will update you as soon as we can with a solution.

Best regards,

SDRplay Support
