Where is the bfo ?

Post by Licorneum » Sun Aug 21, 2016 10:20 am

Hello i have a tecsun pl660 and i listen ssb with a good sound, with the ssb bfo knob i can adjust the voice to making it intelligible. But on sdruno, with the same antenna the sound is not good, more interference and i can not adjust the bfo... So i don't understand the reception... Is there a bfo mode in the software ?

Thanks a lot

If you have a wheel on your mouse, hover the mouse pointer over... the 10 hz digit and roll the wheel. Otherwise I have not a clue.
With SDR# or HDSDR one can just click the digit..

If the Tecsun has a 'bfo' control, you've got used to adjusting that for correct voice pitch. In common with most other 'serious' receivers, the SDRPlay does not have a BFO control, it is fixed. Fine tuning is done with the main tuning control in small steps by hovering the mouse over the 10 or 100 Hz digit and adjusting the mouse wheel. The only thing you have to remember is to select USB or LSB from the mode selector buttons.

your welcome. did you have a wheel?
I'm a trackball guy and never had a need for a wheel. It did not take long for this SDR stuff cause me to get a fresh Trackball with a wheel. now I can scroll the frequency about with ease.
