SDRUno update 1.02 -> 1.04 thrashed my workspaces setups

Post by 13dka » Fri Sep 30, 2016 11:19 pm

Just updated from 1.02 to 1.04 and API 1.97 and my saved workspaces are all gone now. Windows 7 x64. Spend quite some time to set up the windows as I needed it, now I'm back on square one. What gives? Any way to get that back? Any way to update without losing work?

13dka, I cannot find it now, but I seem to remember a similar problem. Search here for that and I also suggest your search your computer for a setting that is unique (frequency, value...etc) in your settings. I suspect your file is still around. When the supporters see your post I assume they will give the answer. Good luck and enjoy, John.

There were so many changes between 1.02 and 1.03/1.04 that is wasn't possible to maintain the previous registry settings. We only changed the registry path because we had to otherwise it would have compromised some of the changes that were necessary.

If you are familiar with regedit you may be able to copy across some of the settings, but please be careful modifying the registry directly.

Best regards,

Thanks for getting back to me! I recently installed 1.1 and of course it wiped all my settings again (I can see why it had to), but on the bright side being forced to take the grand tour around the software again is not only a bad thing when there's so many changes.
