Thanks for your interesting remarks about locally generated interference.
One of the antenna I am using is a CA2X4max collinear for 2m and 70cm.
It is in a cherry tree about 12m above ground and 10m from the house.
The funny thing is that in the amateur bands it is designed for I have very little birdies .
When using it on other frequencies it is different.
I assume that it is because my house then falls into the distorted vertical radiation pattern.
