No signal on VHF

Post by hammer » Thu Apr 06, 2017 6:05 am

I just got my SDRPlay rsp 2 and connected it to my long wire antenna using the High Z port. It works very nice on HF, just as good as any of my transceivers. But the SDRPlay is completely deaf on FM broadcast band and above. I have tried a couple of different programs(SDRUno and Console V3) but i get the same result.

Am i doing it wrong? or did i just get a broken SDRPlay?

Hello Hammer,
You can only use the Hi-Z port for frequencies of 30 MHz and below. If you have left your long wire antenna plugged into the Hi-Z port, when you select 100 MHz, the port will automatically switch to port A and unless you have connected your antenna to port A, you will not see any signals.

Sincerely
