using rsp1 for HRPT NOAA images

Post by Wizard6733 » Thu Apr 06, 2017 6:31 pm

im wanting to set up a sat dish for HRPT transmissions from the NOAA 15 18 & 19 sats but according to the websites...the bandwidth needed is 4000khz. I already get APT transmissions on the 137 mhz band with these satellites but their bandwidth is only 38khz. The 38khz is 38.000 right?? if so does that mean that HRPT is 4000.000khz??? I cant go that wide with uno or hdsdr...the most itll let me go is 192.000khz. The spec page for rsp1 says 10mhz of bandwidth...am i understanding this wrong or something?? I would think 4000.000khz is only 4Mhz. Heres the reference page with the khz for HRPT of NOAA 19...noaa 18 & 15 are the same bandwidth.

https://www.wmo-sat.info/oscar/satellites/view/341

Thanks and let me know if im just misunderstood about the bandwidth thing
