Re: signal strength very high in HDSDR
Regarding the AGC it will look to adjust the gain of the tuner to achieve a certain level at the ADC input. So yes no signal, the noise floor will rise up. The level it is looking to achieve is the setpoint value in ADC section of the controller. The default is -15dBfs which is 15dB below full scale...

Re: Sensitivity to long USB cable?
I am not sure how you can use a Ethernet cable extender to extend USB cable runs, unless you are talking about using a USB over Ethernet type device? Can you expend on this idea a little as I am not sure I follow your trail of thought. In terms of extending USB cable runs the USB 2.0 specification f...

Re: Filters switching frequencies
The change over frequencies for the filters are; 0.1 - 11.999 12 - 29.999 30 - 59.999 60 - 119.999 120 - 249.999 250 - 380 430 - 999.999 1000 - 2000 so at 12MHz you have switched over to the next filter input. Hope that makes sense. I like the idea of showing which filter is in use and we will try a...

Re: SDRPlay TCXO?
We do not use a TCXO in the design. We use as crystal the main reference. The tolerance over it's working temperature range is +/-10ppm. The crystal itself is fixed in frequency. Any frequency offset applied in the plugin is applied using the fine frequency trim within the tuner. Hope that helps.

Re: SDRplay SDRSharp Plugin v2.0
The version 2.0 is indeed a port of the EXTIO. A couple of reasons for doing this, --to allow it to work correctly with the IQ Correction in SDR#. This eliminates the images which was a real problem. --reduces us to a single code base which makes support easier. The other change in this version is t...

Re: HDSDR Plug-in
If you have been working with the new version 2.0 of the SDR Sharp plugin (with the gain slider added) then there is also a version 2.0 of the SDRplay EXTIO installer. You can use this with HDSDR and it has the same look and feel as latest SDR Sharp plugin.
