Re: Diversity- Signal or Noise Canceling
The idea behind noise cancelling by diversity is that the noise originating from your neighbourhood (switched power supplies, lawn mowing robots, flatscreens, powerline modems and whatever delights us nowadays) is always coming into your two antennas with constant phase angles and amplitudes. Thus y...

Re: Ready made frequency lists for SDRuno
Mike's memory banks all have "HiZ" in the Port column.
Either remove this "HiZ" or change it manually to AntA or AntB for every record.
Maybe it would be better if Mike would leave the Port column unspecified for SDRPlays which do not have a HiZ or users who do not want to use HiZ.

Re: api_Service not Responding. What To Do, Please ?
Still no avail with SDRuno V 1.31.
"Device cannot be initialised (sdrplay_api_Fail)."
The service is running. I tried to stop and restart it repeatedly. But no avail.
It seems that I have to quit using SDRPlay RSP1 on a Microsoft Surface 2 tablet.

Re: For Any HDSDR Users
It seems that you have "AFC" on. AFC tries to follow the carrier of an AM signal. When the carrier fades the AFC sometimes snaps to the closest frequencies of the modulated audio spectrum. Then the frequency jumps back and forth between audio frequencies until the carrier in the middle is strong eno...

Re: api_Service not Responding. What To Do, Please ?
I in the meantime I have exactly the same problem on an MS Surface tablet (Windows 10-64). The SDRPlay API service is running, but the error message persists. Multiple stopping and restarting of the service does not help. There are no "rests" of previous installations, because SDRuno 1.3 was install...

Re: RA0SMS vs PA0RDT Active Mini Whip - RA0SMS is Very Noisy - Why?
So if you put it on metal pole the pole acts as an common-mode-choke and the "antenna" stops working. That's not true. Active monopoles work fine both on top of metal masts and non-conductive masts. because the coax cable is part of the antenna. This is true. That's why an active monopole is always...

Re: Intefearance reducing/anti jamming antenna
I use two antennas, one is a loop the other is a wire for picking up noise. The signals from both are combined in a control unit in the shack and the amplitude and phase are adjusted to null out the noise. That's the only way to get rid of at least partly the RF noise polluting our environments tod...

Re: Chinese copies now on eBay?
Funny:
The Chinese text says 100 kHz-2 GHz.
The English text below: 1 KHZ-2GHZ.
The label on the box: 10 kHz-2GHz
They don't know themselves what they sell.
What should "FE" be? (SDR-FE-PLAY). Far East Play?
More precise: An RTL-SDR(!) Far East Receiver.

Re: SAM MODE "ANOMALY"
Shannon Volmet uses USB. This mode has no carrier which Sync AM could lock to. When you use SAM for SSB transmissions the detector will lock to any strong peak in the modulation spectrum close to the nominal frequency at random. This results in an unstable audio pitch. SAM is meant for AM transmissi...
