IMO, the most glaring feature missing from SDRUno is an auto-notch. I own all three RSP radios (I like my RSP1A the best) but have never used SDRUno in any depth only because of the absence of an auto-notch feature. You might look into using a low-latency ASIO audio driver. HDSDR should support that. I tried it once on an earlier version of HDSDR but never could get it to work (quite likely due to pilot error).

The safest bet would be to get a Dow-Key 62-110 coax relay switch and activate it with the ground-on-PTT on your FT-857D, such that the relay simply disconnects the SDRPlay from the coax during transmit.
