75us de-emphasis for Broadcast AM
Back in the mid 80's the National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC) created some voluntary standards for commercial AM stations in order to address quality issues they faced at the time. One of these improvements was a pre-emphasis curve that is essentially based on the 75us curve used for FM pre-empha...

Re: SDRPlay with SDRuno. Dream not decoding DRM!
]Just to make sure: The dll should be called libfaad2.dll . I have it running with Dream 1.13 (for media contens like French slide shows ;-)) and Dream 2.1. Well...this explains a lot. I tried for the other night to decode BBC on 3950 and while it looked like it had plenty of signal; I never got an...

Re: will upgrade to 12 bit sdrplay help me?
Noise in FM stereo is somewhat related to the SNR of the FM signal, but not entirely; there is a point in which the SNR of your signal doesn't improve. It's not a result of the receiver; but how the technology works. FM Stereo is also known as "FM MPX", even though MPX itself stands for multiplex an...

Re: V 1.03 USB vs. LSB filters
After installing 1.03, there appears to be a disparity between the four preset filter bandwidths in LSB mode vs. USB, as shown in the receiver control panel. In LSB, the four presets are: 2000 Hz, 2200 Hz, 2400 Hz and 2700 Hz. In USB mode, the presets are: 2400, 2700, 12K and 24K . Hi Jim, In 1.02,...
Re: Wide AM
Thanks. While user gets me the 12khz, I have to drop a sideband as the carrier seems to be sitting at a half-hz. It also doesn't sound good. Also...if there's any way of throwing a suggestion to the devs...there is a Preemphasis applied to AM signals as per NRSC-R10. It might be nice if that was imp...

Re: SDRPlay / FM SCA decoding
but from my understanding of how SCA is encoded, that should work. All I can simply say is your understanding of SCA is incorrect. Let me point out a few things. SCA uses subcarriers at 67 and/or 92 kHz which are completely independent of the other carriers... In other words, NONE of these things i...

Re: SDRPlay / FM SCA decoding
You cannot pickup an SCA by the method I think you're doing; which is using a NFM on the main signal. This is not how the system works. SCA's are a narrow-FM modulated signal within the baseband of the FM; yes...you can somewhat see it and decode it during times of silence on the main program; but t...

Re: ATV decoding with SDRplay
The plugin for SDR# I seem to recall will not decode NTSC. Which doesnt matter because the program doesnt seem to do anything with color or sound.
It was designed for 2mhz 8bit dongles.

Re: I get this error before Sdruno starts.
Make sure you don't accidentally have another process of SDRUno loaded.
Wide AM
Is it possible to set SDRUno so I can get 20khz wide AM vs just 12khz. Because I can seemingly set it in other programs, but not SDRUno.
