Transceivers with output for SDR? Help!
I'm in the market for a transceiver - one with an output for an SDR. My research points to the Kenwood 590sg as having a straight forward 1mW output covering 1.8 to 50 MHz to drive my RSP2. Are other similarly configured rigs (i.e HF+6m) that I should consider? There are so many rigs out there I jus...

Sharing antenna with RSP2 & transciever via MFJ 1708SDR - problem
Hi All I have bought the RF sensing switch from MFJ. However, when keying up (transmitting) I am seeing RF all over the band scope (the SDR is shunted to ground during transmit). It's the effect same with a dummy load. I have posted a video of the issue below. Any ideas/advice on solutions would be ...

Re: Sdruno, IC 7300, MFJ1708 help
Are you guys using the "ORIG" section in the "RX Settings" of the RX Control, or the "cat" menu in that same box? People get confused with those two. Use the "ORIG" tab..(for Omnirig) NOT the "cat" tab. The other thing is to make sure "RSYNC1" is highlighted (mine turns orange). It's also in the "R...

Re: Sdruno, IC 7300, MFJ1708 help
Me too! Have FT 840 (got the FTDI CAT cable), MFJ 1708, Omnirig & SDRUNO. Just got everything today and I'm really struggling to get things off the ground. It may something to do with pairing com ports. Have you had any luck?

Re: Balanced Line Sharing of RSP2 with Rig. Yaesu FT 840
Hi Adrian As a newbie to SDR I recommend you use it in listening mode for some time before transmitting into the antenna!. I have been licensed for 55 years and will probably spend the next 6 months using my newly purchased RSP2 to check out RFI sources in the shack. The first RFI problem has alrea...

Not sure how the twinlead is going to connect but look into one of these devices. https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxe-rtr-2 http://www.mfjenterprises.com/Product.php?productid=MFJ-1708 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antenna-sharing-device-QSK-TX-RX-switch-For-SDR-and-Radio/122558706221?ssPageName=STRK...

Re: 1.2 Doesn't work properly - can I download original again please?
Hello Adrian, I suggest that you open up a support ticket. This will almost certainly be a settings issue as 1.2 has a different registry map from 1.13. What I can assure you of is that nothing whatsoever has changed within the core signal processing engine, so if you are having a problem leading t...

Re: 1.2 Doesn't work properly - can I download original again please?
Adrian, Looking at your video, I notice that you have the fatal combination of listening to AM with the receive frequency and the local oscillator frequency being the same. The software that removes the "centre spike" on a Zero IF signal will also remove the AM signal's carrier. Try offsetting the ...

1.2 Doesn't work properly - can I download original again please?
Hi SDRplay team I appreciate the time and effort that has gone into SDRUno 1.2. However, it doesn't work properly - I don't know what the issue is and haven't a clue around how to fix it. All I know is that receive quality is significantly degraded across all bands. As an example I have attached a c...
