Re: S-meter Vs dbm
First of all I want to higlight my total satisfacion for the SDRPlay. It is a true little great receiver. I work mainly in HF with a passive resonant home made magnetic loop placed in my balcony at 2nd floor of 8th. Despite of so poor conditions I had confirmed QSO from VK, LU (tierra del fuego), Wa...

S-meter Vs dbm
Taking as reference the table shown on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_meter), I noted a discrepancy between the SP1 dBm scale and S meter reading. The S-meter is 3 S points higher, more or less. Is there a way to calibrate the S meter Vs SP1 dBm?

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise
The same for me with a brand new Lenovo Yoga. I have a big FT-240 31 ferrite choke with 12 turns on the usb cable added to their two ferrites built in. I made the same on the power supply cable. The floor noise improves but it is not good as the batteries one.
Re: IF GAIN
I tried to use the Notch too, but the QRM station was too far in frequency.
A remark: I downloaded the SDRconsole V2. Its default, for the IF gain, is -20 dB manual even though the automatic option is available.

IF GAIN
On 10m in USB, the AGC started to work on the modulation of a strong station near my frequency. The RX AGC was set on SLOW as has to be for SSB, I guess. After some attempts I solved the issue disabling the IF AGC on the main settings panel. The question is: what disadvantages have I disabling it?
