Got it. Thanks!k9cuf wrote:It's hiding. Click the Settings button on the RX Control window, and then click the left arrow that's inline with the tab row until you see the 'Out' tab. That tab has the dropdown that selects the output device.

Re: RSP2 for radio astronomy
Cool idea - I remember back in the '90s setting up an impromptu "radio telescope" with my (college) radio club. We set up a shortwave receiver to listen at ~20.5MHz (if I recall correctly) when the comet Shoemaker-Levy-9 was going to impact Jupiter. We used a simple antenna - a wire dipole with two ...

Re: Input impedance at UFL-R connector.
Good question. Because the characteristic/design input impedance needs to be reasonably well matched between the antenna and the filter, in order for the filter to do it's job with any degree of success.

Re: Copying digital modes with SDRuno
So I'm looking to use VAC to pipe "audio" [really just a bitstream] from SDRuno to FLdigi, WinPSK, Spectrum Lab, & etc for digital mode copy. In unix I would just pipe stuff from one application to another, but Winderz always makes things more complicated. I D/L'ed the current VAC software, and crea...

Re: Balun needed for coax fed dipole on hi-z port?
For receive purposes only, 400/450 Ohm transmit rated parallel line is total overkill, and weighs much more than some of the alternatives - There are still supplies of the thinner, and thus lighter, 300-Ohn "TV Twinlead" available, and I highly recommend it for LF~VHF-Lo (50MHz) wire receive antenna...

Re: SDRuno on Linux
Please allow me to second this request. I've been a licensed ham since 1991, have had my extra since 2000. Bought an Icom PCR-1500 in 2000 and expected way more than I got. Got bored with the hobby in about 2005 and took a 10 year break from doing much with radio, but did a number of things with com...

Re: Beverage or Wellbrook Loop?
If you have room for a 300 m Beverage don't hesitate. Build it! Of course it is highly directional. I do not have room for a Beverage, but my lousy 25 m "random" wire already outperforms both my 5 m and even my 14 m magnetic loop. But not in all directions, of course. The loops are better where the...

Re: Delta loop antenna - advice please...
Hello Mike, I apologize, but I'm going to answer your question with a few questions - What is your desired purpose for this antenna - do you want to receive mostly DX (stations roughly 750Km and further from you) , or are you mostly interested in signals which originate in your general area (less th...
