It' relatively easy. The simplest way is to plug a "Y" cable into the RX IN and RX OUT jacks on the back of the rig, connect it to the SDRplay and then press the RX ANT button on the front panel.
I've been using an SDRplay with my TS-990 for a few years. Works relatively well.

Re: HDSDR w/RSP2 to HRD to a FTDX3000
Not sure why you are using DDE. I'm running HDSDR with HRD, SDRplay and my TS-990 using OmniRig and all works just fine. Everything synchs just fine.

Re: RSP2 front-end protection?
Ian, I don't think you're going to need the switch box. With the TS-590 S a switch box was required if you connected an SDR via the method described in the instructions. There is an alternative method that I used allowing a direct connection to the transceiver via a simple cable to the CN101 (attenu...

Re: Use SDR while transmitting
That really depends on your definition of Nearby, how close the transmitting antenna is from the RSP receiving antenna, and the amount of power being transmitted. In general it is a VERY BAD IDEA to have a receiving antenna attached to any energized radio when a transmitting is nearby. Many compani...

Re: Proposed upgrades to RSP1 no cancelled ??
Hm, I would say most of the wishes for the RSP 1 have been recognized and the result is the RSP2. Only thing I don't like with the RSP2 is the high impedance antenna input for VLF and LF. I am using an active antenna there which has a 50 Ohms output. So the recent buyers of the RSP1 have funded the...

Re: SDRuno - Rig Syncronization
Heinrich, The OmniRig polling interval is 100ms. Again, not an issue with HDSDR or SDR-Radio Console. Further, the issue is not limited to slow polling and slow frequency change, but problems making frequency changes either from the transceiver via VFO or a rig control program. Works fine if I click...

SDRuno - Rig Syncronization
I've been using SDRplay for quite some time as a panadapter with my TS-590S, DXLab Suite, and OmniRig. Previous SDR applications including SDR-Radio Console and HDSDR have worked quite well. My challenge with SDRuno is its synchronization with the transceiver using OmniRig is funky at best. Below is...

Re: Connection to Yaesu FTDX3000
It does help thanks As far as Amazon...what sort of search terms ? I tried 'SDR cable', 'SDR connector'...to no avail. As far as I know there is no "SDR Cable" or "SDR connector". What you want is a generic 50 ohm mini-coax cable with an RCA male and SMA male. So try something like this: "RG-316 ca...

Re: Connection to Yaesu FTDX3000
I believe the FTDX-3000 has an RCA port. If so, you will need a shielded coaxial cable with RCA male on one end and SMA male on the other. With my HF rigs I use 50 ohm mini-coaxial cables for this purpose - either RG-174 or RG-316 - but that's just my preference. When ordering the cable be sure the ...

Re: TS590s SDR Play Combo
Thanks Harry! I will digest this document This is talking about using a PTT line for keying with the switcher, but I according to the document the switching uses RF sensing...(I've already tied up my Acc2 port for keying my amplifier.... Is it possible to use this setup and have an amplifier inline...
