Yes .. it does get easier. And .. you get what you pay for. You buy a $20 dongle .. you get a $20 dongle. What can I say .. they have a lot to be desired. Buy an SDRPlay and you will be much happier. I use mine with SDR# and no issues. But .. you do want version 1361.

I would do a search for it .. as I believe it is available online. I understand that the developer of that software has stopped development of the software. So .. right now it is looking like 1361 is the best bet, and from what I hear the most stable version for SDRPlay.

Oh .. sorry I really wanted to say that I had the same problem with ver 1426 (the latest version) .. but using 1361 and it was working. My other comments are noted in a previous note.

I found that the FM was a bit flaky .. not only scanning at maybe 3 frequencies a second, but false error messages that stated that the frequencies were out of band. They are not .. this occurred on 144-148 ham frequencies and also 154-157 MHz. So .. really I will use my scanner for scanning and the...
