Re: loud spurs in audio output
I've been a ham radio operator for years, an avid homebrewer and have done my share of cleaning up other people's design(s) disaster-which most of the time means 'built without rf shielding' or using shielded cable that isn't! When I buy a usb cable, especially for a communications project, I don't ...

Re: loud spurs in audio output
I think that's not the issue. I have a 6 foot USB cable, which is supposed to be double shielded. It didn't have EMI suppressing ferrites, so I bought some snap on ferrite beads. They didn't make any difference. The thing about the tones is that they don't change frequency when the frequency of the ...

Re: GQRX, Linux and RSP1A
Thanks DK7OB!
I created the file in /etc/udev/rules.d/, but it doesn't do any good. I'm sure I'm leaving out some necessary step during the install of gqrx.
Regards,
Art

loud spurs in audio output
Hi All, I've been doing some great things with my relatively new RSP1A, using linux and cubicsdr program. Ever since the first time I got it running, I've been noticing high pitched audio whine in the speaker from my system whenever I use the RSP1A however. Today, I learned why the whine is so annoy...

GQRX, Linux and RSP1A
I've been enjoying my new RSP1A immensely, thanks to a super above and beyond the call of duty by SDRPlay tech support. But, CubicSDR doesn't run well and has some problems that appear to be bugs (opinion of a newbie). I'd like to run GQRX as I know it runs well from my experience with the RTL-SDR. ...

New RSP1A and linux
I'm having trouble making my NEW RSP1A run on Linux (Xubuntu 18.04). My last 3 messages to SDRPlay have been acknowledged, but I have received no response yet. I'm anxious to have the receiver work. I am using the newly established procedure, but there is a lack of guidance after the driver is insta...

help needed Linux install
Today my new RSP1A came in the mail. I hoped to have it running in a few hours, but some 10 hours later, it sits silently waiting for the right computer commands to make it go! I am using Linux Xubuntu, 16.04. I’d like to use GQRX software, but elected to go with the flow and use CubicSDR, which is ...

Re: RSP1 and Linux, newbie alert::>
Well, the RSP1A came in the mail today!!! HRO did a great job filling the order and even arranged to have the unit shipped from their (more) local store! But, no joy as far as making it run under Linux 16.04. The driver installed ok. But the unit won't run for a variety of reasons.... I'll post the ...

Re: RSP1 and Linux, newbie alert::>
Hi Jukka, Yes, I will get the PSP1A. I am hoping to receive Aircraft Band DX. When DX in the Aircraft Band is detected, it should be a very good indicator that e-skip is possible on the 2 meter band. So, obviously I need good sensitivity in the rx. I'm familiar with industrial theft of intellectual ...

RSP1 and Linux, newbie alert::>
Hi All, I'm new to the group, after a rather disappointing intro to sdr experience with the RTL-SDR. I'm looking forward to having an RSP1 soon, the RSP1 seems like a good solid unit with the performance I need. I will likely do my own front end filtering, as my application is somewhat demanding. Ar...
