That is exactly what I am planning on doing!
I suggest using a tracking generator, as described elsewhere in this forum.
in fact, I just now got mine working, but haven't looked at any filters yet.
You could use a broad band noise generator, but I don't think it would work as well.

Spike in Center??
I am using v1.0 for the first time for "serious" work (hey, it's just a hobby!!
)
Why am I getting a spike at the center frequency of the spectrum display, even with no input connection? It is about 20 dB above the noise floor.
I am using a RSP1A.

Re: Sweep Control and Input Panels Missing
Steve,
I hooked up a spare external monitor to my laptop. The resolution is 1920x1080, and I can now see the controls.

Sweep Control and Input Panels Missing
I received my SPR1A this morning, and have been playing with both SDRuno and SAS. But since my SMA adapters have not arrived I am limited at what I can see with just a wire stuck in the input. However, with the SAS the Sweep Control and Input Control panels are missing. Is this because I am using a ...

Windowing Loss---not really
Hello, all! I just joined this forum. Today I ordered an RSP-1a and downloaded both the spectrum analyzer and SDRuno software. Of course, I can't do anything with it yet. I have been a ham for 50 years next month, and have always been disappointed at the poor quality of affordable test equipment for...
