Gqrx?

Im trying to get Gqrx running on Ubuntu. it says to call cmake with these parameter, but this is my result: Instructions: SDRplay Source The sdrplay source uses a precompiled (closed source) library available from http://www.sdrplay.com/api_drivers.html to interface with the hardware. To enable this...

Re: Intefearance reducing/anti jamming antenna

The scheme only works if the interference is in one direction, if you have two sources, then it can only null one. The circuit can be tuned to null two sources, but would be very trick to do. A much less complicated solution is a plane loop antenna, which will null the noise source as well, much eas...

Re: Static from Antenna

Put a resistor to ground, something like 100k ohm . It will bleed the static without affecting the signal. The spark could destroy your sdr.

Re: HIGH PASS FILTER FOR OPTIMUM HF RECEPTION

I think material 1 (mu 20) or 15 (mu 25) would be a better choice for powdered cores for MF. Ferrites have much higher mu.

Good work!

Re: Coax longwire and impedance

They allowed me to put up a 40 meter dipole on the condo roof, until I interfered with all the cable TVs, so I went stealth, but still interfered. I use to live on the third floor and Id hang a thin, almost invisible wire down at night, then take it up when done. Receiving only should be no problem.

Re: Coax longwire and impedance

Are you using it as a long wire or as a loop? 20 ft doesn't really classify as a long wire, You would be better off using unbalanced input one not connecting the shield, or two wires, one to each balanced input as a dipole. The formula for a 1/4 wave antenna is 468/2f f in mhz. 20 ft is resonate nea...

I just clipped the input to the antenna wire and the ground to ground.

Re: 60v p-p rf

I used the scope input and the antenna is a 900 ft wire grounded far end at lake, between 5 and 20 feet high, running approximately northwest. Like any loop its directional. About 3k ohm at MF/LF. DC loop resistance s about 50 ohm, mostly from wire, .03 aluminum welding wire. I have ground stakes at...
