Re: RSP1A and GQRX
<snip> If running Mint, you could try the PPA mentioned at http://gqrx.dk/download/install-ubuntu and see if that works. The above most definitely works with Linux Mint 19.2 as I installed Gqrx several times following the step outlined in that document. But, I've been using the Airspy HF+ with the ...

Re: For Any CUBIC Users
I know this won't help, but I really tried to use CubicSDR and found it to be very unintuitive. I had the same issues with changing frequency, selecting frequency, using bookmarks in CubicSDR. The program seems unfinished and most definitely a work-in-progress. I finally gave up and downloaded the p...

Re: LINUX PROGRAM RECOMENDATION
As for gqrx, the best way to go is to download the latest release at https://github.com/csete/gqrx/releases/download/v2.11.5/gqrx-sdr-2.11.5-linux-x64.tar.xz , untar the folder inside and run the program by clicking on the gqrx executable inside. It's like a portable program in Windows in that you d...

Re: SDRPlay RSP1A + OpenSuse + CubicSDR + PulseAudio + Dream
Running Manjaro Linux, here. Tried several branches of the source code and the only one that would compile (once I uninstalled gpsd) and decode with audio was dream-980. Tried it on the Radio Romania signal at 5980 at 2300UTC and got some audio, but mostly dropouts/intermittent when there was audio....

Re: SDRPlay RSP1A + OpenSuse + CubicSDR + PulseAudio + Dream
By the way, under Windows, using SDRUno and Vcable, there is no problem, things works smoothly. So, what you need is a virtual audio cable for Linux? Easily done by using a text editor to edit ./etc/pulse/default.pa and adding this line at the end: load-module module-null-sink sink_name=virtual sin...

Re: RSP1A and GQRX
Running Manjaro Linux, here. The only way I found to get full functionality was to download the gqrx-sdr-2.11.5-linux-x64.tar.xz file at the sourceforge site, extract and run from the folder. If running Mint, you could try the PPA mentioned at http://gqrx.dk/download/install-ubuntu and see if that w...
