Spot on, i've been tripped up by not hitting the MCTR button.

Unfortunately, unless the position data is located in the exact part of the acars message that multipsk expects it to be (or even the exact format), then it won't be read by multipsk. I've noticed quite a few positions slip past the program on a daily basis.

There is no advantage using a metal case due to the metal paint on the inside of the plastic case, however they look great. I have metal cases for my RSP1 and 1A. Really sets them off.

Are you running dump1090 from a batch file (.bat) containing the necessary commands?

It is unusual to be getting static build up to that degree on a loop, generally random/long wire antennas can generate quite a bit which is always discharged to earth before it gets to the reciever. How is your set up earthed?

MultiPSK has a Binaural mode button on its Amateur radio options panel if that's any help.

asus tinker board? more powerful than the Rpi, runs the same software. I will be getting one soon to replace my pi. Could be worth a look.

I used the spare wheel from my 4wd to shape my copper loop as i had no other form..lol
