Re: SDRuno - WFM, VFO settings and firmware updates

Select SWFM = Stereo Wide FM. Also, there is no firmware in the boxes as everything happens in software. There is no hardware that can be programmed  Everything depends on driver/software combinations. In fact, you could see the API/EXT-IO as the firmware, as those define what it can and can't ...

Re: Trying to get SDRplay RSP2 to work on Linux

You have the wrong CubicSDR, it's version 0.2.5, that one works fine.

https://github.com/cjcliffe/CubicSDR/releases

Works fine here.

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz

That makes sense. A 135m beverage is basically good for 40m but not 80 or even 160m That explains the low signal levels. As for roasting the box, nah, you won't roast it. I put 1 KW next to it, sure it passes a No-Elec 125MHz upconverter, but it never got roasted. The signals I give it to handle are...

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz

How long is your beverage?

As the signal level is far to low for a beverage, they are known for their better reception then e.g. a dipole.

Unless it's not meant to receive 80m.

I'm trying to figure out why the discone needs to do 80m if you have a beverage. It simply makes no sense.

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz

What are we seeing? As when I reply there are more pictures then we see in reading your post. Anyway, your filenames make sense, so I could figure it out. As I said, the whip lowers the reception range. Without it 80m is gone, so the chokes work else it wouldn't make any difference and the coax woul...

To all. Don't take life too serious. If you get upset, count to 10 or walk the dog. We are all here on the forum to help others. If you do not like a post of somebody else, nothing stops you from ignoring it. There is no point in getting upset over something you read on a computer-screen. I'm not po...

Re: SOUND BUFFERING ABOVE SAMPLE RATE 5

Mike like I said, SDR depends on the software and how it is designed. Also bugs etc won't help either. I run a websdr.org server myself and the maximum it will do is 2.880 MSPS and with just 1 RSP1A As soon as I go over it, weird things start to happen. Also I found that motherboard gets into troubl...

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz

Chokes are like filters, they bring signals down. But it never blocks 100%. It just depends how good your chokes are. Big signals are harder to block then noise. What they do is make the impedance of the outside of the cable higher than the cable itself, the more impedance you add the better the fil...

Re: SOUND BUFFERING ABOVE SAMPLE RATE 5

Mike what do you mean by not getting what he paid for? I have been playing with those high-sample-rates in the software and it's not as simple as saying it must work. Big parts depend on the way software handles the I/Q information. I myself can't get over 5 MHz, it starts. In SDR it all depends how...
