That is a lot, how close are the AM-stations? You must be about right under their antenna.

Are you sure this is all coming from the antenna? And not between antenna and grounding or such.

Well to mute the RSP1A on TX is quite simple.
Just use the AUX-relay to disconnect the speaker/line whatever sound output/speakers you use and make it disconnect.
Then the audio is gone.

What Frequency are we talking about? Also did you set the MW notches? If you didn't high output radiostations between 200-1800KHz can and will hinder all other bands and causing spikes.
