Re: a rtl_tcp compatible IQ server for the RSP
Managed get 4 RSP1A boxes loaded after changing the buffers a lot. Why there is a 500 buffer is beyond me, I upped it to 8192 and it started working. I have heard complaints from RTL users about the same, not wanting to init or being recognised. Streaming is always 1024 blocks of data, so 500 makes ...

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz
I never use baluns as I find them debatable if they really matter compared to a good tuner and a good transmission-line, like modern coax.

Re: Sorry .... SDRPlay & GNURADIO again ......
Well sorry it is that simple. However a reboot after the API-HW install is a good idea. SoapySDR is a bit tricky, but your must not install it via APT-GET as it doesn't support SDRplay yet in the repository. That is the reason you do not see it in CubicSDR. I never got GNU-Radio to work, that is not...

You can with the rsp_tcp driver-converter-server
There are several online including mine for use with websdr.org.
Here is mine: https://github.com/ON5HB/rsp_tcp
You can see it working: http://heppen.be:8091

I do not know if it supports multiple tuners at the same time.

Re: Extending the range of a Discone antenna down to 3.6 MHz
The only thing an antenna-analyser tells you is the impedance at a given freq. It does not tell you anything about it's performance. Very sorry, but because an impedance is high doesn't mean anything. Reception antenna's often have terrible bad SWR, doesn't mean anything. For transmitters it's a dif...

Re: Trying to get SDRplay RSP2 to work on Linux
Hang on, did you connect / install anything before the API-HW driver? Because if you did the kernel driver will be loaded and keeping you from using it as a receiver the way we want. Do you have the 66-mirics.rules in /etc/udev/rules.d ? It should contain this: SUBSYSTEM=="usb",ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_de...

Re: SOUND BUFFERING ABOVE SAMPLE RATE 5
Question, did you try other USB ports? If your have a lot of USB stuff connected it can hinder the throughput of the USB-port itself. Many times USB ports are shared-bandwidth, either on the PCIe lanes other times the USB chip itself. With devices like printers and mouses you will not notice such, b...
