Re: AD9850-ARDUINO Interconnect
Newbe question. I have an Arduino Mega 2560 connected to a AD 9850 DDS. I can not get it work with SA V 1.0a. I have tried a Win 10 OS and a Win 7 OS. Other DDS sketches work on this setup. I am using X-Loader to load the 2560 hex file onto the Arduino. What am I doing wrong? (must be operator erro...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here
I would really love the ability to export a .csv file with the MHz and dBm readings from the scan. This would make this a very useful tool in the Professional Audio arena as an RF Spectrum Analyzer to import this file directly into the tool we use to calculate IMD and available frequencies for prog...

Re: Virtual Trackgen
I’m interested in putting together a virtual tracking generator system and I’m new to Arduino (Used raspberry pi’s up to now) but I’m happy to learn. Where can I find out more about where to download the virtual trackgen software and info on interfacing to pc etc? Thank you Graham Hi Graham Check t...

Re: Different Spectrum Analyser with different RSP's?
Hi Gianfranco
I've found a problem with the gain settings and filters not being set correctly at startup for the SDRduo. Yas - JA8SCD has reported similar problems. I'm working on the problem now and will post a note when I have a result.

Re: Virtual Trackgen
The 1.0a Spec An release looks really good good although for me the waveform stops redrawing all of the time. Windows 7 Ultimate on a i7 4770K (if that's of any use) There is a known bug that causes the display to freeze. It will occur on wide spans where the selected span will require a change of ...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here
On some old "or newer" HP Spectrum analyzers I remembered that if I put in "zero" span or something you could listen to the signal in a built in AM/FM detector, could that be some feature to add in future ? //Peter Hi Peter It's on the list of things to think about, and will eventually happen. I ca...

Re: Feedback for version 1.0a here
Hi Brian I see in the release notes that under item "2" you are aware of the screen intermittently freezing. Mine does that but only when the sweep is wide - like 10MHz or more. At the lower sweep settings it runs OK. I imagine that many people will be running a PC better than mine so hopefully this...

Re: Virtual Trackgen
Hi Peter
I've just checked, the analyser limits the maximum frequency that may be sent to Trackgen to 40MHz for the AD9850, and 90MHz for the AD9851. I'll add a 'Custom' type to the DDS list in the options dialogue, this will unlock the frequency limit.

Re: Virtual Trackgen
Hi Peter
Good news indeed. I'm glad you got it sorted out and running. I'll have to check, but I think CONNECTED can be in lower case, the same as all commands - Try it.
I'll be very interested to see how the ADF4351 works out.
Good luck

Re: AD9850-ARDUINO Interconnect
Hi Steve Now with the working tracking gen boxed and working I have provided an output port for the possible future use for the SYNC signal. Included a noise source in the enclosure, selectable, as an alternative to the DDS for any application beyond beyond the AD9850/51 range. HI Alistair It had cr...
