Re: HF pre-selector

As a result of an email from a member I thought this might help illustrate the notching ability of an old ATU. Did an experiment with the setup as illustrated below. 1) cheap eBay noise generator with it's output loosely coupled to an RSP1A input T connector 2) pretty ordinary low Q Kenwood old mobi...

Re: openwebrx working with SDRPlay RSP2 on Raspberry Pi2B

Just remembered another thing, in the upper part of that same config file you can set or unset compression on audio and FFT, make sure you select compression on both:

Code: Select all

audio_compression="adpcm"  #valid values: "adpcm", "none"
fft_compression="adpcm"  #valid values: "adpcm", "none"

Re: openwebrx working with SDRPlay RSP2 on Raspberry Pi2B

Oke I got it working but audio is very bad. Is it problem with config_webrx.py ? I have raspberry pi3 and SdrPlay rsp2 Need good config. Hi rob; Here are the params as copied from my config_webrx.py file # sdrplay params # Found 13 sample rates: 250000 500000 1000000 2000000 2048000 3000000 4000000...

Re: HF pre-selector

To add to Tech_Support's suggestion of using a "ham" antenna tuner, I use an old antenna tuner (commonly known as an ATU) but instead of connecting it in series with the feedline, I use it as a tuneable shunt to ground. If the ATU is simply inline as normal then it works fine but it only passes the ...

Does SDRuno support IPC?

Disorganised thinking out loud... I'm an experienced node.js backend and web frontend programmer. Instead of my current node.js running on a Raspberry Pi communicating via serial (and audio streams) with SDRuno to provide a Pi hosted web interface to SDRuno for scanning and remote audio using UDP an...

Re: Thumps up to RSP1A and the support team !

Hi avk, you sound a bit like I felt soon after my purchase. Instant delight in the hardware - mouthwatering to think a little black box is about to deliver you effectively zero to 2GHz with a calibration accuracy of a dB or two and direct readout of SNR, truly excellent oscillator stability and accu...

Re: RSP1A: wobbling spurs around 2.335MHz * n

Just for laughs I show my Hammy Hambone solution for the spur in the 40m band. It's a 47 Ohms 1206 SMD resistor connected to 5V and glued to the offending chip. The ~0.5 W dissipation creates enough heat to move the spur down to 6.92 MHz. Merry Christmas and a happy new year! 2017-12-23_14-06-20_v1...

Re: RSP2 frustration on Mac

For those of you running SDRuno in a virtual environment like mine - is that lag present, or is that an issue with SDR#? Hi Jim. Like you I run VMWare Fusion with a Windows 10 VM on an iMac and SDRUno performs really well. In my experience the audio delay is no different from running any of the gre...

Re: Figured out the "Stuck in Seems like LO LOCK Mode" problem

Not sure I follow you. The LO lock and IF settings are unrelated. LO lock will activate any time the buttons are used to change preset bands. However, it can normally be deactivated and SDRUno behaves as expected. This is independent of the zero or low IF setting. Or is there more to your actions c...

Re: Figured out the "Stuck in Seems like LO LOCK Mode" problem

For me, the LO LOCK problem, if it's the same one, appears to be caused by - activating Low-IF from the Main Settings dialog box - changing bands (using the keypad ham band buttons or via CAT) From that point on all subsequent band changes bring up the LOCK message, yet Zero-IF shows up in Main Sett...
