Re: Windows 10 Screen Timeout Freezes SDRuno App

So simply remove the screen-saver and just let it turn off the screen.

Also check the power-management in the advanced settings, it may reduce everything to minimal and not just turn off the screen.

Does that help?

Re: My winndow only goes down to 120 dbm

In fact it's quite simple. The ADC can do 12/14 bits at low bandwidth, this means a high dynamic range. If you use a wide bandwidth the number of bits go down to 8 bits, as such the dynamic range drops. 12/14bits can do about 140dbm of range where 8bits does about 90dbm. (not exact figures just to e...

Re: Sorry .... SDRPlay & GNURADIO again ......

You can and it's not even that hard. Step 1: Install the RSPx HW/API driver 2.13 from the website. Step 2: Clone and compile the SoapySDR latest version, Mint apt-get version does not work (yet)! Step 3: Download and run the QubicSDR appimage. ( https://github.com/cjcliffe/CubicSDR/releases/tag/0.2....

All wrong, unless tested with Rohde & Schwarz there is no point discussing

Re: SOUND BUFFERING ABOVE SAMPLE RATE 5

Please do not write in capitals, people consider that as shouting. Thank you. I have the same thing here, when putting the sample-rate too high it stutters. There are limits to the sampling-rate you can do over USB. The amount of ram or the speed of the CPU doesn't matter. Don't forget that a sample...

Re: RA0SMS vs PA0RDT Active Mini Whip - RA0SMS is Very Noisy - Why?

This can be simply tested, use a 9V battery Wouldn't this change the Q point of the amplifier? It will amplify a bit less, shouldn't be a problem. Many others do feed these antenna's with a battery. Also my mini-whip said in the manual that any power between 5~12V should be fine. The point is to fi...

Re: RA0SMS vs PA0RDT Active Mini Whip - RA0SMS is Very Noisy - Why?

From what I see you have 3 problems. 1 the RA0SMS is essential the same as the PA0RDT and because the "antenna" section is longer it will pickup more noise and it looks like it's overloading the SDRplay. So you probably need to reduce the RF-level a lot. 2 The power-supply being very poorly build. T...

Re: RA0SMS vs PA0RDT Active Mini Whip - RA0SMS is Very Noisy - Why?

Funny.....the amplifier doesn't just amplify 1 pole only. It amplifies the entire "antenna". Put a choke-balun/filter right after the connection to the "antenna" then report it still works. Same as "End-Fed" they stop "working" when being choked at the feeding point. Never wondered why it must be a ...
