Is it over kill toshield your RF ground if its far away?
I like listen to short wave on my SDR with a wire antenna. heres the thing my radio is on the second flood and to get a wire to the ground rod it must pass across a room (20 feet) then put the windown then down about 20 more feet. I do have a whole bunch of extra coax that I found some where. Is it ...

Re: Would wrapping the unit in AlFoil tape help shield it?
I paused the waterfall display, wrapped it in tape and noticed the noise went down about 1-2 db. Seems like it worked or there is just a noisy environment around me.

Would wrapping the unit in AlFoil tape help shield it?
I noticed putting a usb cable whit a ferrite chock on it reduced noise floor level. The cable had those two barrel things near the ends. Although one time I opened up one of those to just find some sort of cable strain relief, but what else would it be. Would sticking metal to it work as a test? Or ...

How to set the one time PPM offset in Uno?
I know that every radio has to be "tuned" for the first time due to physical differences in the RF circuit of the radio. How do you do this for UNO? For my SDRDongle/SDRSharp thing there was a setting you adjusted only ONCE, I think it was called offset. I can't for the life of me find the youtube v...

What are the seven segment "0's" in the top right corners of the consoles?
0-00 or the main one says 0. Are these for opening multiple ones to listen to two things at once? What does the dash mean? Also I heard that some one wrote a handbook or ultimate user guide on SDRUno. Does anyone have a link to download? Saw a guy with it printed out in a youtube video. And what the...

Re: undefined external error !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So strange. Did all the usual things, unplug, re-plug, restart. Tried in SDRUno and SDRConsole. No luck. I got frustrated, set the laptop aside, and went to bed. Today I just clicked on SDRUno pressed play and it works just fine. No restarting or unpluging just opened up the program and it worked no...

undefined external error !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I just installed SDRUno . I used my new sdrplay about three times today worked great. BUT, now when I start it up and press the play! button a message pops up that says "undefined external error". I thought that was the bug where you have to be a valid frequency on start up; was on 0, so I change...
