Re: Strong images on SDRPlay
I've experienced the same when I use the SDRplay as a panadapter to my HF rigs. Here is what I discovered: (a) The strong images are often from AM broadcast stations (domestic and foreign)..I seldom have an issue with images from other amateur radio stations. (b) The strong images are 99% present wh...

Re: SDRplay as panadapter driven from i.f. output?
For the Yaesu FT1k and any other radio with RX IN/OUT connectors. No IF tapping, no soldering required.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=StcIIDOySqg. Yes, that is a great option. However, one needs to be certain there is sufficient isolation on the RX IN / RX OUT ports when transmitting. With some rigs...

Re: SDRplay as panadapter driven from i.f. output?
You can do the same with HDSDR. I believe there is an option titled "Front-end Configuration". With that option you can select either antenna or IF and with the IF selection you can enter the IF frequency as well as offsets for each mode. Works just fine.

Re: Using SDRPlay with a HF Transceiver
I am also running the Kenwood TS-590S and have just ordered the SDRPLAY. Can I use the rec terminal on the back of the 590 to connect to the SDRPLAY and have the radio and software track each other? I was going to use a DX Engineering Switch Box and was wondering which would be better, since both k...

Re: SDRplay As a Panadapter
Hi Harry, I use the play with my FTdx3000, and as you said it's pretty good, I run on a mosley 6 band 6el and doublet for 160-40, in sdrconsole, I find i'm running at 65-80 on HF and the visual gain around 5/10 - -5/-10 all depends on the bands, Simon has just updated to v2274 and the gain setting ...

SDRplay As a Panadapter
I'm relatively new to SDRplay although I've been tinkering with other SDR receivers and transceivers for a few years (e.g., SDR-IQ, Afedri SDR-Net, FlexRadio 5000A). In the past I've used the SDR-IQ and Afedri SDR-Net as panadapters to my HF rigs by inserting them into the Rx path via the rig's Rx I...
