Re: Using a SDR in a remote cabin
Hi Noel, a year ago I moved all my radio hobby gear into a RFI-unpolluted countryside summer cottage. The nearest neighbour is almost a mile away. During the winter months the site is unmanned and unwarmed. The coldest day last winter was -17.5C (0.5F) indoors , but everything worked well. I had RSP...

Re: Breaking changes in SDRPlay API
Ok Mike, also HDSDR does that, but I would like to use SDRuno.Mike2459 wrote:Current versions of SDRSharp will playback SDRPlay I/Q files. No driver required.

Re: Breaking changes in SDRPlay API
Hi,
can't resist to remind that it would be great if SDRuno could be run without any RSP available. My RSPs are doing full duty 24/7, and I still have hundreds of gigabytes of wideband mid-winter MW IQ-recordings to listen - but I can't do that without an 'available' RSP.

Re: RSP1 and Linux, newbie alert::>
Hi fellow, instead of (discontinued) RSP1, i recommend you to consider RSP1A instead. It offers 14-bit decoding and better front-end filtering. AFAIK, Linux support for both is equal. You can find block-diagrams for the RSPs, but not detailed schematics. They seem to be shy in sharing them... for ob...

Re: RSP1A or RSP2?
Hi, i have owned RSP1 and RSP2, now running RSP1A and RSPduo. As G1HBE comments the multiple antenna ports of RSP2 is a great thing. Regarding technology, RSP1A does also have a more proper front-end filtering. In your situation, i'd choose between RSP1A and RSPduo - based on if one antenna terminal...

Re: RSPduo and other software
The launch of the RSPduo was timed to coincide with a major Ham radio event at Dayton, Ohio. Yes yes, but now i think it's about the time to put the Stetsons to upper shelf and concentrate in coding :D I believe RSPduo does have a LOT of unleashed power and possibilities after some critical missing...

Re: RSPduo and other software
Dear SDRplay, it is great that when you launch new devices - they are always ready and mature. Way to go! But, you tend to do it with very slim, insufficient software support. I think that SDRuno support only is not enough for product launch. It should be also EXTIO and Linux at least as well. SDRun...

Re: SDR UNO + RSPduo + Decimation window
Hi,
I too have experienced the decimation pulldown to disappear without any clear specific reason.
I'll tell in case i'll find a repeatable sequence.

Gianfranco,
thank You for your very classy article.
I will read it for several times and compare with my own observations.

Re: Propagation-triggered recording
Hi fellow, included in downloadable zip-file, you can find a README giving instructions. But sorry to say, for newcomers this is not very easy to get running. To start it would help a lot if one is famliar with HDSDR, WSJT-X, Omni-rig, virtual serial ports and virtual audio drivers. But have a try -...
