Re: FSK
and they seem to have an FSK “button”, which made me wonder and I thought I should ask on this forum. The SDR softwares follow a different approach. Some keep the nominal frequency and shift the passband when digi modes are selected, others keep the passband and shift the frequency. When a software...

Re: Another odd signal (or signal-like phenomenon)
See for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionosonde
Inososonde spurs will frequently appear daily on various SW bands on your spectrum/sonogram. Normal business on SW.

Re: Buzz in AM mode
There are often ground loops between the antenna ground and PC/audio amplifier ground. You seem to have a lot of 50 Hz and harmonics in both receivers. I think the SDR software for the RTL dongle has a highpass filter suppressing the 50 Hz part more than SDRUno. Or do you use the same SDR software f...

Re: Odd signals and other unusual patterns
Do a search on the term "CODAR". https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/CODAR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OF-yhrtqKo I cannot explain your patterns on both sides of 10 MHz. I have never seen them. Your "spikes" look pretty much like computer and/or monitor noise. Try to touch your screen with your palm...

Re: SDRuno freq control with WSJT-X WSPR????
Seems to be related with SDRUno. Here WSJT-X (1.70) even crashes shortly after setting a band. I tried the same wit PowerSDR mRX: This works. All frequencies correct, no crash, no 55 Hz issue. It's not related to com0com, I used VSPM (K5FR). I did not investigate further, but it seems to me there is...

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise
I have the same issue and run the laptop unplugged, however I'm still plagued with interference across all band Hello, a typical pattern of switched mode devices, mainly switched power supplies. Harmonics spaced between appr. 15 kHz and appr. 100 kHz, depending on the device. We all have such patte...

Re: DRM reception with SDRPlay and SDRUno
Could someone kindly post a few DRM freqs receivable in the USA? The attached zip file contains a HTML table (open with your internet browser after extracting) with a mix from AOKI and EIBI schedules with currently listed DRM broadcast. Please note that the list contains duplicates (AOKI/EIBI) whic...

Re: RA0SMS Miniwhip bad performance on SDRPlay
I had very clear reception until may, when the ventillation system of the building is modernized, and added inverters to the fan engines. The result is S6-S9 noise around from 8 to 17 MHz. Yes, noise generators are becoming more and more. Photovoltic inverters, lawn mowing robots, switched power su...

Re: Drivers detected as virus
This is normal business. Many radio softwares (commercial or freeware) are reported evil by a couple of virus engines when you upload them to Virustotal. Some virus engines change their mind daily. Today a software is benign, tomorrow exactly the same software is evil all of a sudden. Next week it i...

Re: Drivers detected as virus
Really strange. I have SDRplay_SDRuno_Installer_1.13.exe and SDRplay_ExtIO_Installer_1.0_2.exe on my PC for months. But Windows Defender never found anything strange. I probed the files manually right now with the latest virus definitions for Windows Defender: No infection found!
