SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
GM OMs,
I was hoping to be able to record audio from 2 instances of SDRPlay at the same time.
However I try I cannot get it even to record one instance via Line-1 - a VSC. No error messages, just nothing recorded.
I tested the VSC with an SDR4+ on HDSDR and it works perfectly - so the problem isn't the VSC.
I've selected Line-1 in OUT on the receiver and Line-1 as input on the recorders (RecAll Pro and Total Recorder Pro).
Is it that VSCs are not yet implemented?
I'd dearly like this to work pending an audio recording facility in SDRUno. Would also like to be able to mute the audio while it records via a VSC.
Regards,
Jim

VSC-Virtual Sound Card.
A software programme which allows you to take output from one device and direct it towards another.
Using one of these you may direct the output of one receiver to a particular decoder and the output of another receiver to a different decoder, at the same time (if you wish). Or perhaps direct the output of one receiver to two, or several, decoders or some other sound-processing devices simultaneously.

Re: SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
Do you mean VAC (Virtual Audio Cable)? That works well with SDRuno.

This is an alternative to VAC I used successfully in the past:

Re: SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
The wording "VSC" is normally only used by WiNRADiO for their special branded VAC.
I tried to route sound into the WiNRADiO VSC and make a recording with audacity both with SDRuno and HDSDR on the VSC output. Both applications do not work! The WiNRADiO VSC is a "married" (branded) version of the Myzochenko VAC and only works with WiNRADiO receivers.
Other VACs (like VB Audio stuff) works perfect in both SDRuno and HDSDR.
What brand/model is your VSC, Jim?

Yes, same thing.sdrplay wrote:Do you mean VAC (Virtual Audio Cable)?
Oh no it doesn't...! Not on this computer anyway. I'll try it on another machine see if I get the same results. That works well with SDRuno.
I'm using the Muzychenko VAC/VSC.

Re: SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
Indeed. I used to have the WinRadio VSC some years ago. I'm using the Muzychenko VAC/VSC. It works with an SDR4+ in HDSDR but not with SDRPlay in Uno. I'm about to try it on one (or two) other machines to see whether it's a machine-specific failing.DanubeBCL wrote:The wording "VSC" is normally only used by WiNRADiO for their special branded VAC.

Thanks. If all else fails, I will try that one.F1BJB wrote:This is an alternative to VAC I used successfully in the past:

Re: SDR/Uno Won't Use VSC
I also have the WiNRADiO VSC, Jim. I never managed to make it work other software except for WiNRADiO's own.
But the "original" (not branded) Muzychenko VSC should work. No idea why it doesn't.
I am using VB HiFi Cable now and hat VB Audio before (same Author). Both work(ed). Many people praise VB Voicemeter Banana. But I is far beyond the needs I have. VB (HiFi) Cable is enough for me.
