Must be doing something wrong

Post by pash43uk » Mon Jul 29, 2019 10:47 am

Really struggling to pick up a decent signal , tried PMR and Airband frequencies where i have a good strong signal on my handhekd scanner using the same aerial with little or no joy. Can get a very weak signal on some of the commercial radio stations but otherwise struggling. Going to try changing the BNC to SMC adapter next.

It might be the antenna placement (assuming this is a rubber duck antenna indoors) or it might be your gain settings.
I suggest watching this video https://youtu.be/ngv60EWiJ3U and reading this PDF https://www.sdrplay.com/wp-content/uplo ... SDRuno.pdf (also assuming your using SDRuno)

If you can post a screen shot of SDRuno running with all panels visible. Use Imgur and put the link to your screen shot in here.

What kind of antenna is being used?
Where is this antenna in relation to the RSP?
The more details you submit, the better.
