SDR UNO and Logging Apps

OK... I have SDRUno working with the with the IF OUTput on my FTdx3000 using Omnirig.

Next, I want to run SDRUno on the IF output - and also - synchronize the radio with N3FJP AC-Liog.

Does anyone have good working settings for this, including a reliable virtual com port application? I tried LPB2, but it is unreliable and crashes my mouse! I believe I can do this with a virtual com port app and N4PY control software, but i would like to keep it simple and not involve the N4PY application. I like the N4PY app, but wish to simplify the setup if I can.

Any traction? Thank you in advance. K8JHR

most use the VSPE program for a virtual com port program, works really well!

You will need VSPE or a similar app.
I submitted this to ACL a while back as a workaround.

I have a Kenwood TS-590SG and what is nice about this radio is you can use the USB port and the RS-232 port at the same time. So basically 2 usable com ports for one radio. RS-232 port controls my logging program which is also N3FJP and the USB port runs Omnirig which contols my SDR.

I like com0com. It installs as a permanent driver so you don't have to start it each time like VSPE. Available here.

Here is an interesting app note on using the RSP as a panadapter.

HDSDR works well as a panadapter. It has a few more features for this function than SDRuno.

To add a logging program take a look at pages 45-49 of the SDRuno user manual. Substitute your logging program for HRD in the examples.
