No colour

Post by ZL2BMH » Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:11 pm

Hello once again.

A problem I am new to. I have the RSP1a with SDRuno. My antenna is a turnstile up 36ft.

Over the past week and a half, every morning and afternoon I download the NOAA's. However, with most item checked marked I cannot get any green into the land or blue in the sea. Yet the colours, red for cities light blue for rivers do show up.

Is this something due to atmospheric conditions or otherwise that can happen?

I would really be interested in your reply.

Many thanks,
Jim

I'm assuming you are using wxtoimg. There are instructions in it's help file to calibrate the software and set the audio levels. This must be done before using the software. It sounds like your audio levels are either too low or non-existent.

Also: Is your computers time correct and set for the correct time zone? If you can't see the satellite's signal in the SDR's spectrum display when wxtoimg thinks there should be a satellite overhead then this may be the problem.
