Edit issue with first post in a thread

Postby Nulluser00 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 1:00 pm

Even though I no longer participate in this forum, when I ran into an issue similar to the one this page experiences when one tries to edit their first post in a thread.

This solved the problem with the EE student help system.

I hope this helps

Try switching your style to Prosilver and see if the issue persists.
What version of the apple style are you using? (see the style/apple/style.cfg file).

If you are using phpBB3 version 3.0.8 you must update your style to the same version. Style and board versions now must match.
I suggest installing the Prosilver style as a temporary measure, it can be downloaded and extracted from the full version found here http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/olympus.php?from=submenu

In your test system the apple style 3.0.5 is not working correctly and will not.

Only thing I can suggest is a complete file replacement but you will lose all your MOD's.

Please follow exactly in in proper order'
*NOTE: Before proceeding backup all files and the database.*
· Upload all new files from a download of the full version, EXCEPT for config.php, the /images and /files folders.
· Go to yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php
· Let that run and then delete the install folder.
· You now have a new up to date board containing all your users and posts but without any MODs that you might have had installed.

To use the apple style it will have to be updated manually, see http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=880735
