Central Frequency in CubicSDR - 1.024MHz limit
Central Frequency in CubicSDR - 1.024MHz limit
As a newbie I'm trying to figure out if I don't understand the software or not being able to set the "Central Frequency" lower than 1.024MHz is a software limitation.
My understanding is that I should be to set it to any value that is valid in the main frequency setting as the "Central Frequency" is merely what is in the centre of the displayed spectrum.
I'm using a RSPDuo and trying to explore the lower end of the AM broadcast frequencies.

Re: Central Frequency in CubicSDR - 1.024MHz limit
I would need to check, but my guess is that CubicSDR doesn't allow the display of negative frequencies? If you are only able to set half of your sample rate then this could be the reason.
There is nothing in the hardware or API provided by SDRplay to prevent you from setting a frequency as low as 1 kHz, but each SDR application will have it's own limitations.
Try changing the sample rate and see if that affects the lowest centre frequency you can set. I don't have CubicSDR running to check this at the moment.
Best regards,

You are indeed correct
central freq. won't go lower than 1/2 sample rate.
