SDRPlay as remote receiver over WIFI

I would like to use SDRplay some 100-300m away over WiFi in the middle of nowhere (no access to internet). Is this possible?

I operate amateur radio but often my location with power outlets has high noise level. Locating SDRplay 100-300m away with battery power would solve the problem. Did anyone use USB over WiFi or any other suitable solution?

I've seen WiFi USB hubs advertised, but I have no idea if they work with an SDR and if, how well. Example:

I tried this:

It works but unlimited version is expensive
Tried it with an RTL DVB dongle from an orangePI with only 100Mbps network to a windows PC
It seems that 100Mbps is too slow for some USB2 devices.
For WIFI I think you must use locally a WebSDR software.
It will be too slow for using usual software on the listening side.

Thnak you for the information. It seems that the only choice is adding a computer with decoding functions that will also limit the bandwidth. Could be Raspberry Pi or a cheap laptop. Otherwise Cloud-iq from rfspace.

When Zeusradio ZS-1 came on the market some people sucessfully operated their transceiver with this USB-Server:

The server is basically a Silex:

Interesting.
Apparently the Silex device works. An earlier post mentioned that the IOGEAR device did not. Wonder whether is the network speed (300MBs vs 150Mbs), setup or drivers.

Thanks for the link I didn't knew this product existed.
I think that transparent access to a USB device on a network is limited by the fact that USB is a half duplex protocol
and limited to short distance so latency can be a problem.

It seems like bandwidth will be the problem for any SDR device. There are some other alternatives:

1. A device designed to operate over the internet, such as the Cloud-IQ from RFSpace (http://rfspace.com/RFSPACE/CloudIQ.html). That doesn't help you with your SDRPlay, but it's a SDR designed for internet based usage. It does the decoding work in the SDR box itself and sends the decoded results over the internet. It's a solution, but a costly one ($630).

2. SDR Console SDR software from Simon Brown. I don't know if his new version 3 supports client/server mode, but version 2 did with any radio it supported. The software has both server and client modules. Version 2 worked very well. You can dig for more detail on his website: http://sdrspace.com/. His software DOES support the RSP. This doesn't help you as far as being able to use SDRUno, but it does allow you to use the RSP hardware.

3. Another solution from RFSpace is their own software for use with their NetSDR that provides server and client modules. It works with their NetSDR and (I think) a few of their other radios. Again, not RSP, but an option for client / server.

These are just a few options. Unfortunately, none of them are a direct solution for your request.

I know that client / server operation has been requested for SDRUno. I haven't seen any response from the SDRPlay folks about whether they plan to implement this and if so, when.
