Are the circuits the same in all the units, except for the antenna ports?

Basically yes. The chipset is the Mirics in all versions but the antenna signal routing is different and the RSP-1a has extra (and better) bandpass filters. Also the RSP1a makes use of a hidden feature which can use an extra 2 bits of ADC resolution, but I wouldn't expect this to make a big difference.
