Audio quality in AM mode on RSP1a

Post by tclay9214 » Sun Jun 03, 2018 3:35 pm

Hello all,
I purchased an RSP1a yesterday from HRO.I installed the sdruno sortware and started playing with the software.
I am using a G5RV and a Par endfed antenna.
The issue I am having is that the audio quality in AM mode sounds raspy and compressed.I have tried different agc settings, gain settings, and all filter settings.I did not observe this on my RSP1.
On lsb,and usb the audio sounds wonderful.
Am I missing something simple in my settings?
Thanks for any help.

There is nothing in the hardware that can make a generic difference to the audio quality of an AM signal, so the difference is almost certainly down to a setting in SDRuno. Make sure that your VFO is offset from the LO or use Low IF mode. If this is not the issue, then I suggest you open up a support ticket at www.sdrplay.com/support. Please include screen shots showing the main panel, the Rx Control panel and the SP1 display so that we can see your settings.

Sincerely
