RSP1A quiet after an extended period of use.

I noticed something, I have had the unit operating for over 24 hours, basically listening to various HF bands, I came back to the computer and changed bands and noticed that I was not receiving anything whatsoever no matter where I tuned to, VHF, UHF, HF, LW, MW etc. All quiet. There were not even any noise spikes on the waterfall. I closed SDRuno and restarted it, nothing changed, I unplugged the RSP1A from the USB and reinserted it, everything came back to normal.
My question, is this normal after an extended period of use? Does the RSP1A have buffers that fill up or overflow after a certain period of time or have limit on data that it can handle?
